BLIND TABLE TALK AWARDS

Purpose and Vision:
The BTT Awards were established with the following core objectives:
- To recognize Excellence: Publicly acknowledge and honor the outstanding accomplishments of BVI individuals in areas such as arts and culture, business and entrepreneurship, employment and education, advocacy and social justice, sports and recreation, and community leadership,
- Promote Inclusion and Representation: Provide a platform to showcase the diverse experiences and talents within the BVI community, fostering a greater understanding and appreciation of their capabilities,
- Challenge Stereotypes: Break down negative stereotypes and misconceptions surrounding blindness and visual impairment, demonstrating the potential and contributions of BVI individuals to society,
- Inspire and Empower: Provide positive role models and inspire others within the BVI community to pursue their dreams and achieve their full potential.
- And to foster community: Create a platform for connection and networking among BVI individuals, advocates, and allies.

The Selection Process:
A transparent and impartial selection process is crucial to the integrity of the BTT Awards. This process typically involves:
- Nominations: Open nominations from the public, allowing anyone to nominate a deserving individual or themselves,
- Review Committee: A diverse committee composed of BVI individuals, experts in relevant fields, and community leaders reviews the nominations,
